Late 19th century by Landers Frairy & Clark and so marked on the blade base with stars & bars logo opposite. 5 7/8” length. Surgical steel lancet blade (tiny chip). The grip of imitation ivory, known variously at the time as Ivarine, Ivaleur, French Ivory and others. Made in one piece with the decorative floral motif used on pressed cow horn and with faux ivory grain. Excellent and rare example of the roots of today’s plastics industry.
