Burmese/Siamese/Indochinese, 19th century.  44 1/4" total length. Two hand hilt of relief decorated brass with panels of stylized foliage. Turnip shaped pommel and thick ring guard.  Fine 29 1/4" slightly curved single edged wedge section blade overlaid with silver figures of nobles at various pursuits including one shooting another with an arrow and curvilinear calligraphy. Blade clean, crisp and excellent. Possibly an executioner’s sword as the weight would require the largest of warriors to wild efficiently.  Wonderful display. Size and quality generating a striking presence.
