15th-16th century AD. See ancient Rings, Pollio, p.126 for two similar examples. Size 9 ¼ with 3.6mm band flaring to the radially fluted shoulders. Raise lenticular bezel  engraved with a bird. The bird motif, popular since the Byzantine Empire, is generally thought to represent an eagle, a symbol which later, became iconic to many European royal dynasties.
