FINE AND RARE VIKING COIL RING, C.850-1050 AD, SIZE 10 ½

Gold over bronze. Just over one full turn, 0.20” (5.6mm)” width at the lap, size 10 1/2. Round section with well rounded terminals abstractly cut as the head and tail of a serpent. Slightly worn from use and burial. Made by the lost-wax process, coil beads, rings, and other adornment elements were very popular in Viking culture. Due to its age, resizing is not advised. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
