Victorian period. 32" length. Maroon leather with triple gold bullion bands full length and very fine engraved and gilt buckle, keeper and tongue. Fine with leather dry with a few small scuffs only. Fine for Zulu War collection as Maj. John Chard who led the defense at Rorke’s Drift and, along with ten other defenders, received the Victoria Cross, was a serving Royal Engineer.
