Lake Superior Basin, C.4000-1000 BC. Hand forged from copper ore which was freed from rock pulverized with a stone hand maul then shaped by hand. About 2 3/8” length, tanged form, tapered to a point (extreme tip bent but complete). Mounted with beaver tail tang embedded in the sinew wrapped tip of the arrow shaft. Ex Vietzen Collection, Indian Ridge Museum, Elyria, Ohio.
