Made by famed sword maker, William Rose (1783-1854) known for making bayonets and swords to government contracts for the Revolution and War of 1812. This is a rare example of a working knife made by William Rose in the early 19th century. Sometimes called a “round knife” these were used by leather workers as well as to cut tobacco and produce. Great accessory for an edged weapon collection.
