Danelaw England. Silvered bronze, about 1 1/8" of elongated conical form with butted seam and pierced terminal with its original suspension ring. These were incorporated into larger complex necklaces similar to the Egyptian Aegis, with beads and amulets of various types. They served as noise makers (jingles) and provided eye catching motion in the sun. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored, on an 18" modern Sterling silver  neck chain. Hand crafted by a Viking artisan, 1000 years ago! Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
