RARE PULOUAR, 18TH-EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Northwest India or Deccan. Iron hilt with monster terminals to the down-curved quillons. Swelled grip and deeply cupped pommel with intricately modeled hound’s tooth edge below the cap. Fine 28” blade with swelled disk forte, tapered and double fullered to the tip, with spotty old congealed preservative.  Ex: Sir Frank Bowden Collection, Thame Park, Oxfordshire England.
