KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

27 5/8" blade finely decorated 3/4 length with Crusades scenes and motifs, armored knights, weapons, Memento Mori (skull and crossed bones) and owner's name, with bright blue background complete. Forte marked THE HENDERSON AMES CO. KALAMAZOO MICH. dating it before 1933 when the company was sold. Hilt with chained cross to the cross guard and fine enamel inlay. Ivory grip inscribed with Masonic motifs and monogram (minor wear from use). Scabbard with owner’s name repeated and deep relief enameled mounts matching the hilt (one chip).
