GOTHIC EUROPEAN MAN'S RING, SIZE 11 1/4

14th-16th century AD. Gilt bronze. Oval bezel with transverse ridge meeting the edge with a small nub. The field with concentric diamonds on hatched ground. The shoulders with addorsed hatched bands. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.93, 1st, for a near identical example. Excellent and professionally refurbished with a 24karat gold overlay. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
