ANCIENT VIKING WEDDING RING, LATE 9th-EARLY 11th CENTURY AD, SIZE 9 3/4

Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Rare wearable size 9 3/4. Broad flat face, 5.8mm width, hand-decorated in a centered stipple band with a much finer similar band on one side and one edge. The asymmetry likely with spiritual significance. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver overlay restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
