Good quality and heavy proportions with 2.7mm ridged band.  Broad bordered lenticular bezel which is cut with transverse ciphers serving as a signet, which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius.)
