Gilt bronze, size 10 1/2 with 3.0mm rounded face band flared at the shoulders. Raised stylized cross shaped bezel incised with a cross and saltire in line borders. Clearly Christian symbols in a partially converted world where paganism was dominant provincially and Christianity persecuted in some areas. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
