Silvered bronze, 1” height, formed as a perfume or rose water bottle with spread foot, bulbous base, slender neck, and flared grips. The shape is characteristically Romano/Egyptian C. 2nd-4th century AD. Such containers dispensed scents to mask body order and the stench in city streets. Its use here as a pendant or amulet is probably a statement of the upper-class status of the wearer.
