Nut was the sky goddess responsible for sunrise and sunset daily. She is depicted here as a sow, a symbol of fecundity (prodigious fertility). Green glazed faience with top suspension loop and diminutive size, at 5/16” total height. The small size probably indicates that it was used in mummification.
