A funerary votive and doubly rare being made of copper. 4 3/8” length along the curve. Massive 0.35” x 0.30” section. With the end fashioned as a serpent with recessed eyes. The back with a double roped or chevron pattern deeply impressed. The end distorted from having been broken upon the death of its owner. Provincial hammer and chisel workmanship. Not cast. The size and weight indicate a warrior of exceptional stature.
