ANCIENT VIKING HEART PENDANT, 866-1067 AD

Cambridgeshire England. Silvered bronze. Just under ¾” (0.74”) height plus the suspension loop.  Tall heart form with scrolled sides and plain field. Low rounded section. Made by the open mold technique. The heart symbol embodied the very Viking spirit. Well worn from use and burial 1000 years ago.  Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear.
