SPANISH OFFICER’S SWORD M.1861

The guard with a central star in a laurel wreath and architectural elements. Preserved with virtually all its gold surface intact. 31” d.e. blade with both edges backed at the forte and flattened diamond for the balance. Inscribed one side ART^A FAB^A DE TOLEDO 1876. Crisp with near all bright original polish. Original scabbard slightly shrunk with partial seam opened and the button lacking. Very impressive.
