Iron hilt with semi-bowl guard and contoured checkered ebony grip. 32” curved broad fullered blade. The ricasso marked ARTILLERIA FABRICA DE TOLEDO 1894 with the arms of Spain opposite. See Vicente Toledo Momparler, Espadólogo, p.350. Iron single-ring scabbard, undented. The metal with smooth gray patina throughout. Good Spanish American War example.
