See Swords and Blades of the American Revolution, Neumann, #1.S-3.S. 21 5/8” saw back blade with raised false edge, imported from Germany with the chiseled running wolf mark. Iron hilt with trilobate foliate form guard and smaller, matching, opposite. Knuckle bow with a smudge of ancient white paint from handing on a freshly painted wall.  Iron pommel with the distinctive curled terminal specific to this group. Cylindrical wood grip. Hilt and blade are pitted. The grip with glossy patina and a few insect holes. Classic condition for an American Pilgrim weapon.
