Cambridgeshire England, 9th-11th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 8 3/4. 3.3mm width band with low rounded face incised with a narrow stippled band, noticeably off center. That feature is rare but has been observed in other Viking rings, though the significance is unknown. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface textured overall from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
