Good quality with 2.1mm rounded face band, flaring to the shoulders.  Circular bezel with stipple border and figure of a scorpion serving as a signet, which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius.)
