6th-10th century AD. Gilt bronze with 2.8mm band flaring to the ridged chevron banded shoulders and raised scalloped edge with raised oval bezel engraved with a saltire flanked by transverse bands. This example, clearly Christian, blends the pagan form as was often done during the conversion period, thus probably dating this example to the earlier part of the period. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
