8th-12th century. Gilt bronze, over 3/4”, (0.79”) total height. The crossbeam is centered with a square. The center with a linear cross form and superimposed on a saltire. The back is flat.  Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored, on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
