US 1860 PATTERN CAVALRY SWORD

German import by well known maker and marked HENRY BOKER SOLINGEN on the ricasso. Markings particularly crisp. Brass hilt with wire wrapped grip shows dark patina. Evidently wall mounted as the back side is uniformly slightly darker than the front. 34 ½” curved broad and narrow fullered blade with smooth gray patina. Iron scabbard undented and retains most of its original blackened finish. Fine example of a Union cavalry saber with great age character.
