18th-early 19th century. 10 ½” length to make two candles. Made of six separate tinned pieces, assembled with solder. Sound with a fine patina and minimal blemishes from use. Candles were used in the 17th and 18th centuries but were largely replaced by whale oil lamps by the early 19th century.
