The interior with vertical rails securing removable dividers which provide for 28 arrows separately stacked to protect the fletching. Both interior ends with small indentations confirming its use for war arrows. Dry, the interior fairly fresh with abrasions and old dust/soiling. The underside of the lid with a circle and a cipher in a circle. The exterior with deep age patina and medium encrustation over soiling, lid cracked and superficial insect damage. Joints dry, storage abrasions and a 2 1/2” x 1/2” contemporary repair to one edge. Used to transport arrows to the battle field. Only example we have encountered as the survival rate for these must be extremely small.
