RARE JAPANESE SAMURAI ARROW
This is an Japanese war arrow of the Early Edo period, about 1700. It has a fine cane shaft with wood nock, black lashed sea bird fletching and fine cord wound socket.

Edo Period. Specially made to penetrate armor at distance and incorporating several unique features. 34 1/2 length. Natural cane shaft tapered from the middle to the point and nock. Only Japanese arrow we have seen that was not uniform in thickness.
