Japanese Arrow
Price: $415.00
Available
Item Number: st2
This is an extremely rare Japanese Samurai arrow of the Edo period, 1602-1846. It is fine quality with a horn nock and spotted goose fletching. The head is of swallow tail form. That form is shown in all standard references but is quite rare. There are various explanations for its use including cutting the bow string of an attacker, however, we are unsure. This arrow is one of four identical arrows which we acquired as a group. If there were more to the set, we don't know. Any example is rare and we were pleased to find this small group. Length 35 1/4"
