Heavy 61 .60 cal barrel with thick faceted breech, triple cabled brass bands at the transition to long tapered circular section middle segment. Triple brass band divider to the faceted flared muzzle. Barrel made of well patterned damascus twist watered steel and secured with leather bands. Integral open back sight and brass front sight. Elegant stock of well grained wood made in three segments as is typical. Dark wood upper stock at the breech. Steel furniture including fretted side plates and pierced floral cheek plates. Bone butt plate carved in antler texture. Watered pattern excellent. Two short pieces of brass inlay below the muzzle lacking. Stock shows some bruises and small shallow splinters from antiquity, strictly as expected furniture excellent. Dating to the great city state wars of the subcontinent. Because of their construction, very few of these have survived intact and this one is of especially good large proportions and quality.
