The national sword of Sulu, Mindanao and North Borneo. Characteristic excellent Moro workmanship with fine 15 3/4” wedge section blade, bright in original preservative. Elegant wood hilt with raised back crest and stepped base projection. Gilt, wearing a little thin, white metal base piece. Two piece wood scabbard secured with brass pins and retaining its original cloth sheathed cord shoulder sling, slightly soiled and minor frays. Fine aging throughout with mottled glossy patina to the wood. Wonderful balance and extremely lethal in trained hands.
