Edo Period, pre 1868, probably a temple offering. 4 1/16” diameter, of exceptionally thin construction, the exterior smooth, and the interior revealing a pattern of basket wavy beneath the lacquer.

Probably Meiji but quality mostly seen with earlier examples. 4 5/8” diameter of plain tapered form emphasizing simplicity. Chocolate body color with black and shades of brown lacquer in a random “dribbled” surface matrix of thin hairs.
