Large size for fighting in armor with 34 flamberge blade. Iron hilt with straight cross guard and shallow dish guard with down curved reeded "leaves" serving as blade catchers. Black leather covered grip. Surface rusted to an attractive patina. The form of the guard is scarcely seen but genuine examples are recorded. Very impressive example with an extraordinary blade.
