French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars period. 33 3/4" hollow faced triangular blade tapered through its length and decorated with lattice, military trophies, foliage and IGB initials at the forte. Good mottled patina. Brass hilt with triple reeded edge boat from guard and plumed helmet pommel. Sound tight and complete with great age character. Type which served through the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.
