21 ¾” straight blade with double fullers and long false edge. The right side with crowned CP cipher of Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria 1777-1799. Scrolling foliage below and to the reverse of the blade. Brass mounted hilt with broad recurved cross guard and rudimentary shell guard. Thick stag antler grip with banded brass base ferrule and pommel cap. Blade quite crisp and smooth with spotty black staining and some pockmarks pitting at the point. Dating to the period of the War of Bavarian Succession.
