Oakeshott type XIV.7 with 26 ¾” broad fullered d.e. blade, down curved guard and wheel form pommel with raised central lug each side. Rusted throughout with some small losses. Not excavated but “church condition” as found over tombs of English knights. The condition results from limited exposure to the elements and being untouched which allows for the accumulation of dust which retains moisture. Well-made and fine display.
